About Tenanted

Everything a UK landlord has to keep on top of, in one place.

Tenanted replaces the spreadsheet, the folder of PDFs and the calendar reminders. It holds your properties and tenancies, tracks every compliance certificate with a simple traffic light, shares documents securely with your tenants, and gives you a library of template paperwork to download.

01

Property and tenant management

Add each property once — address (with live UK address lookup as you type), property type, number of units, rent and notes. Every property then carries its own tenants, compliance items and documents.

For each tenant you record their name, email, phone, date of birth, unit label, start date and rent. You can create their portal login and password yourself, mark them as active or former, and message them in-app. Rent can be set to monthly or weekly, and it is displayed the same way everywhere — for example “£950 / month” or “£220 / week”.

Open-ended periodic tenancies. This is an open-ended monthly periodic tenancy. It continues automatically each month unless ended by notice — the date below is a rolling estimate of the current period's last day, not a fixed contractual end date.

Compliance tracking with traffic lights

Pick from ready-made UK compliance templates — Gas Safety Certificate, EICR, EPC, smoke and CO alarm checks, legionella risk assessment, Right to Rent, deposit protection, PAT testing and more — or add your own custom items with any renewal frequency.

  • Red — overdue and needs action now.
  • Amber — due within the next 30 days.
  • Green — in date and compliant.

Marking an item complete rolls it forward automatically to its next renewal date, and email reminders land in your inbox before deadlines pass. A master list across the whole portfolio is always sorted by urgency.

Document sharing with tenants

Upload tenancy agreements, certificates, inventories and photos into a secure vault. Each document can be linked to a property, to a specific compliance item, or to an individual tenant.

You decide who sees what: keep a file private, share it with every tenant at a property, or share it with one named tenant. Tenants sign in to their own portal to download what you have shared, and can upload their own documents — including scanning ID straight from a phone camera — which you can view from their profile.

The downloads library

Inside your account you will find a Downloads section with template paperwork added by the Tenanted team — assured shorthold tenancy agreements, notices, tenant reference forms and landlord checklists. Browse by category and download whatever you need.

Important — templates only

These documents are templates only and are not legal advice. You must have them reviewed and verified by your own solicitor before using them with a tenant.
